These are some great strategies. I especially like podcasting and using audio as an alternative method to drive traffic. I feel like most folks discount this option since on the surface it seems “difficult.” Lately, I use Audioboo to share quick sound bites on my iPhone, then place the MP3 in my WordPress blog. For longer audio, I’ll just record something in Garageband and upload to my site directly, which feeds into iTunes.

G’Day Steve, generating traffic for your site can and does consume quite a bit of your time, though Yahoo answers is but one potential source of traffic, it’s a good one to add to your list of options.

Hello Gavin,
I’m fairly new to Internet marketing and I’ve a lot to learn regarding traffic generation. I just came across your article on Yahoo answers by chance and I found it very informative. I’ll open a Yahoo answers account right away and try using it to help other people with their problems whilst ‘hopefully’ adding a new stream of traffic to my website in the process.
